We provide support to street children around Dhaka University to make their days a little bit brighter!
We Believe in Stories
Every single human being, irrespective of where he/she is and how he/she is, has a unique story to tell. However, some beautiful stories stay unheard of simply because the authors consist of neglected street children and because they have neither the privilege nor the opportunity to tell their own stories.
Jhilimili aspires to make those stories happier by directly helping those underprivileged children. We are relentlessly working towards our goal by launching fundraising, teaching, and awareness campaigns and by undertaking other miscellaneous programs by collaborating with different organizations.
We are a group of passionate volunteers who are on a journey to intertwine our tales with that of underprivileged children. Our journey becomes complete only when we hear their stories, only when those adorable, little children's happy faces get filled with jhilimili (sparkles).

Happiness
We consider happiness to be a fundamental right of human beings. And all children, irrespective of their socioeconomic condition, have the right to happiness and the right to enjoy basic entertainment in life. Believing in this, we at Jhilimili align our work in a way that’ll make these street children smile and make them happy.
Diversity and Collaboration
In Jhilimili, we believe in a collective effort to ensure maximum results by properly utilizing diversity- diversity in terms of skill set, background, and experience. We try to bring in multivariate organizations as partners in all of our endeavors so that we can fully utilize the strength and expertise of each partner and together create something extraordinary.
Out-of-the-box Approach
Many organisations are toiling every day to ensure amenities for underprivileged children, so what makes Jhilimili different? We are different because we prioritise new ideas, do things with a little twist, and focus on innovation in every brainstorming session. While previous alumnae are in consultant roles, newcomers always take it forward with their fresh perspectives.
We Arrange Fun Events!
We arrange events like art competitions, story-telling sessions, Eid events, etc. on campus where kids can come and have a fun time!
We Collect Funds to Support The Children!
During emergencies like COVID-19 or religious festivals like Ramadan, we raise funds through crowdsourcing and social media campaigns.
We Raise Awareness
We create social media campaigns to increase awareness regarding the situation of the street children.
